POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains, services, calibrates, adjusts, repairs, and tests all types of general medical equipment for the University Health System. Performs duties and completes assignments in a timely, efficient, and competent manner. Complies with UHS, departmental, and section policies and regulations.Uses and cares for equipment and supplies properly. Maintains professional working relations with customers, staff, and contractors.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A.A.) in Biomedical Equipment Technology or Electronics Technology from a two-year college, technical school or equivalent experience is required. Recognized training certification in Biomedical Engineering or Electronics Technology or equivalent is required. Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) or completion of factory service school in equipment maintenance and repairis preferred. Four years experience in repair, calibration, and service of medical equipment required. Eight years of aforementioned experience preferred.
