Legal Counsel recruitment
Main area of work is to provide legal support to the Treasury Department in Singapore. Work scope will include documentation relating to swaps and derivatives, repo and reverse repurchase agreements, foreign exchange contracts and structured investment products. You may be required to support other business areas as well for eg. Corporate Finance, Private Banking or joint ventures of the Institution on an ad-hoc basis. Some regional travel may also be necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE
Preferably a "qualified person" under the Legal Profession Act
Understanding of banking, securities and other financial services legislation in Singapore
At least 5 years of post-qualification or in-house legal experience
Familiar with the ISDA Master Agreement, collateral support agreements and trade confirmations, Global Master Repurchase Agreements, Foreign Exchange contracts and the respective ancillary documentation
Understanding of regulations relevant to structured deposits and other investment products
Plain English drafting knowledge

Able to work in a team with minimal supervision

Willingness to take a solutions-focused approach to legal issues
Fast learner with a winning mindset
Awareness or appreciation of legal systems in ASEAN, US, UK and Hong Kong
