Bookkeeper/ Management Accountant

My client is a small retailer based in North West London. They are currently recruiting for a Bookkeeper/ Management Accountant to get involved in everything from your transactional duties through to all aspects of Management Accounts.

This role is a sole charge position where you will be responsible for the whole finance function. Having the ability to work independently is vital as there will be little support on a daily basis.

This role will involve the following duties:

- Transactional duties; purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control, bank and statement reconciliations, dealing with email/ phone queries, liaising with other departments as well as external accountant
- Posting journals
- Prepayments and accruals
- Cash flow
- Producing balance sheets
- Profit and Loss
- Forecasting and budgeting
- Variances
- Margin checks
- Stock analysis and control

To apply for this position candidates must have had exposure to all Management Accounts, stock control, extensive experience using Sage Line 50 and have strong excel skills; v look ups and pivot tables.

This role would suit a candidate who is confident, assertive, sociable and a good team player. If you are from a retail background, this would be preferable.
