Florida Tile is looking for a Branch Commercial Sales Specialist to introduce our new and existing product lines to the regional commercial market in North Carolina. The primary focus of this position will be to establish and develop customer relationships with the customer base that defines the commercial market segment. This customer base includes but is not limited to architects, designers, property managers, general contractors, end-users, installers (union/non-union tile contractors, flooring installers and dealers) and other professionals. Successful Branch Commercial Sales Specialists will drive the top line to meet or exceed sales goals, while maintaining profitability through appropriate pricing and accounts receivable follow-up.

DUTIES:

• Exceed sales and sales mix budgets while maintaining average discount / margin within agreed parameters.
• Target, call on, and develop relationships through effective time management with architects, designers, property managers, general contractors, end-users, installers (union/non-union tile contractors, flooring installers and dealers) and other professionals with the primary goal of specifying our products in their projects, follow up throughout the various steps of the construction process and to make sure the spec is maintained until the order is placed.
• Assess competitors (product lines and strategies) and keep Manager informed.
• Prospect, qualify, and establish new customers
• Evaluate product field complaints and resolve them in accordance with company guidelines
• Collect all necessary field information to help manager and credit department to set and maintain credit limit for each customer. Assist in collections and in resolution of all credit issues.
• Utilize CRM software to document project specification and all sales related activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• At least three years of commercial sales experience in the tile or flooring industry
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline preferred
• Proficient in MS office and AS400 ERP
• Ability to achieve company goals with little supervision
• Overall analysis of the total and individual markets in order to set goals, plan and execute market research, forecast sales and establishing new markets.
• Development, planning and the execution of yearly business plan.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast paced work environment.
