LOCATION: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
RESPONSIBILITIES: Operates a route vehicle designed to transport passengers within Reno County. Operate 2-way radio. Accounts for daily receipts generated by fares collected. Maintain daily records as outlined in departmental procedures. Inspects vehicle per department procedure, maintains adequate fluid levels and maintains vehicle in a clean and safe manner.
QUALIFICATIONS: Requirements: A KANSAS CDL LICENSE WITH A MINIMUM CLASS C PASSENGER ENDORSEMENT.
High school diploma or G.E.D.; experience driving and transporting passengers may be considered as a substitute for diploma/GED requirement. Possess thorough knowledge of city streets; excellent driving abilities. Ability to: Operate 2-way radio; get along well with elderly and general public; keep accurate daily logs; Must be alert, self-reliant, and demonstrate good judgment. Must possess ability to meet attendance schedules, which may include Saturdays, holiday, and coverage for vacation, sick or other leave time as needed. Successfully pass security check, drug screen and physical capacity profile.
STATUS AND SALARY: PART TIME – 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.
GRADE 18 $9.76/HR
