Business Analysis Consultant II
Responsibilities:

The job holder is responsible for the analysis definition of the business requirements, functional specifications and operational architecture for functional work streams within large, highly complex, strategic, global programmes. This requires an individual who can challenge prioritise business requirements, drive innovation, and define strategic solutions. They must be able to:
• Lead the analysis of client requirements; create business functional requirements documentation.
• Formulate and define programme scope and objectives for their allocated work stream across all business, operations, and technology stakeholders by thoroughly understanding business processes in a specific business area.
• Lead initial strategy/planning and scope definition through to process design, requirements development, testing, training and implementation of the solution for their assigned functional area.
• Coordinate documentation review and ensure that agreement and sign off is achieved across multi global internal, and often external, business and technology stakeholders.
• Manage issues and risks, identify potential roadblocks and be accountable for keeping their workstream on track.
• Provide mentoring and leadership.

In addition, the job holder must be able to utilise industry expertise to challenge and prioritize requirements, drive solution optimisation, and speed time-to-market of these multi-year complex initiatives. This individual will also be skilled in testing with extensive experience in functional and UAT test planning, test case development and execution.

Qualifications

Person specification:
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with expertise in formal requirements elicitation techniques, including large-scale and formal workshop facilitation with senior stakeholders.
• In-depth understanding and working knowledge with best-in-class methods, tools and techniques for elicitation and documentation of internal and external client needs and associated requirements. This includes business process modelling and formal requirements traceability techniques
• Extensive and deep expertise and business knowledge of one, or preferably more, of the following: fund accounting, investment accounting, transfer agency, securities processing, custody, alternative investments (hedge funds/derivatives), clearance, accounting, cash processing, reporting, or brokerage
• Able to effectively lead the business analysis and testing functions for a team within an overall large-scale mission-critical program.
• Ability to gain deep understanding of application architecture and end-to-end operation flows across multiple systems and between the Company and our clients.
• Expertise and experience with Software Development Life Cycle processes and methodologies
• Ability to apply project management and leadership skills.
• Solid experience in formal workshop facilitation techniques.
• May hold industry specific credentials
• Organised, proactive and dependable
• Degree or equivalent in a business or technical-related field.
