Business Analyst

Macquarie Leasing, part of the Corporate and Asset Finance Division, is one of Australia's premier commercial financing businesses. Due to their growth, Macquarie Leasing is looking for a Business Analyst to join their systems team on a 6 month contract.
Working closely with external clients, business users and the systems team, you will be responsible for process mapping, scope definition, requirements definition, functional design, testing, implementation and providing operational support.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Working to standard Software Development Life Cycle processes for project delivery
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with the business and technical resources to discuss requirements and provide operational support
- Conducting detailed analysis of requirements for system enhancements, project proposals and bug fixes
- Scoping new projects
- Defining test plans and conducting user acceptance testing
- Documenting processes and procedures to support operations.
To be successful, you should possess the following:
- Experience in online systems
- Tertiary qualifications in either IT or Business
- A strong appreciation of key business drivers and an understanding of the IT impact upon the business
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to effectively tailor communications to a diverse range of business and technical stakeholder groups
- The ability to work well under pressure to provide timely and accurate solutions to business opportunities and challenges
- Ability to act as an autonomous business project lead on allocated projects ensuring processes are adhered to and delivery to time and scope is met
- Experience in finance or leasing preferable
