Business Analyst
The Business Analyst team is responsible for supporting the successful delivery of projects across a wide variety of business areas from front to back office. This role includes detailed requirements gathering as well as understanding and documenting business processes through both individual interactions and facilitation through workshops. In addition, hands on experience around systems and QA testing, ensuring the end deliverable meets the requirements of the business users is key to ensuring success.
We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in expanding their knowledge and understanding of the challenges and developments impacting systems and operations in the Asset Management industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Working proactively with the business to determine scope and define business requirements
- Understand existing processes and define and document new business models including process and data using structured techniques
- Perform systems/integration analysis and assist Developers in translating specified requirements into technical solutions
- Manage functional test planning, test case development and execution
- Input into project planning and define and manage the analysis deliverables against estimate
- Problem troubleshooting and solving – owning, coordinating and managing the implementation of a solution
The successful candidate would be expected to have strong business analysis skills with a proven record of project participation and delivery. The ability to understand technical design and assess approach to rectify any issues encountered is also important.
You will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Extensive experience of an Asset Management organisation with knowledge of Front, Middle and Back Office functions
- Strong business analysis skills with a proven record of project participation and delivery
- Experience of delivering business facing projects
- Experience of facilitating workshops and meetings with senior stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of Fixed Income, Equity or ETD/OTC Derivative products and data structures
- Experience with industry standard methods, tools and techniques for elicitation and documentation of business needs and associated requirements
- Previous experience of working on systems integration and specification of data transformation
- Be able to generate and maintain positive relationships within the team and across the business
- Hands on experiences of data vendors and applications such as Markit, Latenzero, Goldensource
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to think laterally and generate creative solutions
- Business Analysis qualifications e.g CBAP, ISEB is highly desirable
