An award winning vendor of risk management compliance systems to the financial services industry is urgently recruiting for an experienced knowledgeable Business Analyst to join their London office in a small and fast-paced team of Business Analysts.
The successful Business Analyst will be joining a highly successful area of the business, working directly with clients including numerous top-tier financial services firms (e.g. Tier 1 Investment Banks).
This Business Analyst role responsibilities include:
- Working through the full SDLC from inception through to delivery
- Engaging with a variety of client personnel to gather requirements, produce documentation and engage between external clients and internal, off-shore development teams
- Produce functional specifications documents of an extremely high standard
The SDLC is typically around 6 months with new releases up to twice a year - the particular work area of the business is around the Collateral Management solution so knowledge of this business area is highly desirable although not essential. Key attributes my client is looking for in a Business Analyst are:
- Experience of Business Analysis from the Financial Services IT industry
- Experience of the full SDLC
- An exceptional attention to detail and ability to produce extremely high quality documentation
- The ability to analyse information and produce clear, concise relevant functional specifications
- Excellent communication skills are essential to effectively communication with business users and off-shore development teams both verbally and by written documentation
- Client facing skill and experience - this is a heavily client-facing role so all applicants must have had exposure to clients in the financial services IT industry
- Technical understanding (this can have come from development background, education or from exposure to financial services technology - you will have an appreciation for the pressures of software development from a high-level perspective)
My client is looking for a pragmatic and logical Business Analyst who takes a practical approach to problem solving solution delivery. You will be able to produce high quality documentation and will be skilled in producing concise and relevant information.
The basic salary on offer for this role is up to £70'000 (although the maximum will only be achievable for candidates with a strong knowledge of the Collateral Management industry in addition to a strong technical background) in addition to an excellent benefits package.
