Business Analyst/ Application Support – Equity Technology recruitment
Our client is a global asset management organization that is rolling-out multiple equities applications in Hong Kong and they are looking for a technologist with excellent experience of equities to set up Hong Kong division.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Reporting directly to the global head of applications based in Europe.
- To be Hong Kong’s first hire in applications and be the single point of contact for all applications.
- Working as part of the business team in close collaboration with portfolio management, research analysts and macro analysts.
- Understanding all of the businesses needs and requirements by relating to the investor team directly on equity application issues.
- Management of small to medium projects for the business such as application implementation, spreadsheet automation and data projects.
- Being part of the BAU follow the sun equity support team responsible for batch cycles, resolving issues and SQL queries.
- Being the vision for further expansion in Asia and being involved with strategic planning.
Requirements of the role:
- 10+ years technology background with an excellent understanding of equities from either the sell-side or buy-side.
- A broad range of functional role experience covering small to medium project management, business analysis and production support.
- Career stability with proven background of committing to long term business initiatives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently and be credible as the single point of contact for application technology in Hong Kong.
- Technical experience with database especially SQL queries and Oracle. Any Unix or scripting experience would be advantageous.
- This opportunity would be a very good match for a senior equity application support professional with project management and business analysis experience that has advanced knowledge of equity. CFA qualifications would be considered a plus.
