Our Asia office is currently looking for creative and dynamic professionals for its Technology department. The Asia Technology department services the business at the International Private Bank for the whole Asia Pacific region.
The role will provide support the project manager to manage a new system implementation that result in operational improvement; the new system will be used by front office support and operational functions within the organization.
Requirements
- Identifies, assesses, and records near-term business needs, recommending business priorities, and advising businesses on options, risks, and costs versus benefits
- Communicates business priorities to the technology organization accordingly, in order to drive effective business solutions
- Researches to determine if solutions to business needs currently exist within or outside the business unit, and if not, whether new solutions are feasible
- Documents business requirements, and communicates these requirements to the development team for the design and implementation of business solutions
- Documents test cases in conjunction with business requirements and ensure that clear validation criteria are established across the project life cycle.
- Provides input, on occasion, to the development of formal business cases when enterprise-wide business solutions are proposed
- Manages project progress, monitoring milestones and critical dates to identify potential jeopardy of schedule and identify / mitigate risk
- Produce detailed status reports, track actions, and manage progress meetings.
- Establishes strong working relationships with team members; all functions within Private Bank Technology team locally and internationally; and across the business as appropriate
- Consults with businesses to effectively drive business strategies forward through the optimal use of technology
- Project deliverables that are aligned with business and technology strategies
- Strong project management and coordination skills
Skills
- Around 5 years Business Analyst / Project Management experiences in banking sector, preferably with private banking experiences
- Exceptional understanding of banking operations, track-record in process improvement projects, with good understanding in how client's data flow from a transactional and operational perspective
- Strong analytical and process management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
- Able to use good analytical thinking to see the big picture, determine the problem and understanding fundamental parts of it
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
- Strong ability to understand key stakeholders' requirements and translate them to high quality technical documentation
- Regulatory understanding for the HK and Singapore market place is preferable
- Self-starter, being able to take initiative and work independently
- Result driven, able to work under high pressure and client focused
- Knowledge of SQL to enable query work for analysis work
