Business Area
• The Credit Valuation Adjustment (CVA) Capital Charge is a constituent part of the Basel 3 requirements and the intention of the European Union (EU) is to implement the CVA Capital Charge by 1st January 2013.
• In order to ensure that the Bank meets its regulatory obligations the Legal, Risk Capital (LRC) business has initiated a programme to implement the CVA Capital Charge within agreed timeframes.
Role
As a member of Credit Risk IT, the role will entail interacting with the business to define the Detailed Business Requirements and work closely with the technical teams to ensure the delivery of the corresponding functional and technical specifications.
• Definition of the data requirements is likely to be a key aspect of the delivery and providing a conduit between the technical teams and business in order to help manage and resolve the anticipated volume of queries will be a major part of the role. Ensuring requirements traceability throughout the project life-cycle will also be key.
• The role will require close working relationship with IT project managers, on-shore and off-shore vendor teams. Interaction with senior stakeholders, both business and technical, is also a key component of the role so a confident communicator is essential in this role.
• The Business Analyst will be required to perform analysis, design and support for user acceptance testing activities to enhance Credit Risk platforms in-line with the implementation of the CVA Capital Charge. A key objective of this role is to bridge the gap between the client's requirements and the technical delivery teams (on, near and offshore), and help to successfully deliver projects within this diverse and challenging space.
Key Requirements
• Detailed Business Analysis (requirements gathering and documentation)
• Understand key business drivers and impact on cost/value of solution
• Support the business in conceptualizing of solution options, risks impacts.
• Design/redesign effective business processes, removing redundancy inefficiencies
• Support for Functional Design in conjunction with Functional Analysts (preparation and documentation of Functional Specifications and Use Cases)
• Storyboards (requirements definition for UI development)
• Support for Technical Design (facilitation in the preparation and review of Technical Specifications)
• Support for Test planning, preparation and execution (preparation of system and integration test plans, test cases and test progress reporting)
• Issue analysis and resolution
