Business Analyst – Data Warehousing recruitment

The Business Analyst will Understand and define data flows in the organisation, provide expert support to business services team (or business directly, where appropriate) for reporting and data requests and identify new sources of data (internal and from market) to support business processes and systems. The Business Analyst will also map data into warehouse (Netik), and maintain/control mapping sheets, be responsible for metadata, liaise with data suppliers regarding changes to data feeds and also assist the Head of Data Services and Global Head of IT in any other areas as requested and agreed.

The Business Analyst will have the following responsibilities: -

• Understand and define data flows in the organisation

• Provide expert support to business services team (or business directly, where appropriate) for reporting and  data requests

• Identify new sources of data (internal and from market) to support business processes and systems

• Work with business services team to identify/create internal processes for data maintenance.

• Map data into warehouse (Netik), and maintain/control mapping sheets

• Define load rules

• Work with other IT Service areas in resolving data load issues

• Design data marts (e.g. MIS)

• Design/spec data quality checks and processes (e.g. load validation rules, post-load checks, etc.)

• Responsible for metadata

• Define / Create generic functions, SPs in data warehouse to facilitate extracts

• Liaise with data suppliers regarding changes to data feeds

This is a permanent position, paying market salary and is based in the City of London.
