Business Analyst – FATCA / Compliance recruitment
Market Operations and Technology (MOT) provides technology and market operations to Macquarie's businesses.
The technology team aligned with the Banking and Financial Services Group (BFS) is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join the FATCA Compliance Program.
Reporting to the FATCA Program Manager you will be responsible for leading the business analysis activities required to ensure BFS understand what is required and how it will implement these requirements to ensure BFS will meet its compliance obligations under the FATCA legislation.
Key to this role will be demonstrated understanding and experience of the Australian financial services market as the role will be working across a range of wealth management and retail banking products and teams.
Demonstrated internal and external stakeholder management is essential, as is experience in facilitating workshops and driving business outcomes. Experience on large compliance programs within a financial services background is highly desirable.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the business impact analysis across multiple workstreams - planning, facilitating and writing up workshops
- Providing support to the relevant business and product teams to assist in process mapping and documentation, where required
- Initiating and fostering strong relationships with colleagues and key business stakeholders (project, product, sales, marketing, risk, legal, tax operations and IT areas)
- Using the inputs from initial scoping activities to assist in the planning and implementation phases of the FATCA implementation
- Identifying key analysis tasks and engage necessary stakeholders when required
- Document findings/requirements in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders that articulate the required changes to systems, business processes, training, collateral
- Map current and target business processes, highlighting gaps and inefficiencies
- Facilitate and co-ordinate requirements workshops, for example to identify the FATCA data requirements and a gap analysis across various on-boarding systems / teams in meeting these
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Demonstrated financial services and business analysis process experience essential
- At least three years experience in a similar role
- Comfortable working independently as well as being part of a team
- Working within a defined project methodology
- Quick at coming up to speed with business strategy and business objectives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge and experience in the complete System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- The ability to present requirements to business users and gather constructive feedback
- Demonstrated stakeholder management skills including workshop facilitation
- Previous experience with large compliance programs in a Financial services environment is a distinct advantage
