Business Analyst, Fidessa, Cash Equities - Contract

We are looking for a highly skilled Business Analyst who has comprehensive understanding of Cash Equities and Fidessa on a rolling contract.

Currently the Cash Equities Technology team in London provides full management of the platform used by Société Générale for its European Cash Equity Business. Additionally a Global aspect exists as it also provides 2nd line full project life cycle support to the US and Asia operations.

The business supported relates mainly to a full Cash Equities trading portfolio including Program, Care and DMA/DSA trading. This is a highly volatile business requiring a strong technological platform to support the business aims of growing both organically and through the introduction of new products.

The platform currently consists of in-house developed applications and components built around the Fidessa platform.

This role is to provide Business Analysis skills in terms of working directly with Business units to gather and understand their requirements. These need to be validated and prioritised with the Business and other members of the ITEC team to determine timescales, estimates and validity.

The focus for this role would be on the analysis work related to the new projects portfolio for 2013. Existing projects in the portfolio for 2013 include:

*Platform Simplification

*Fidessa Data Cleaning

*SOR Rationalisation

*Listed Derivatives Fidessa

*Trade Reporting

*Commission Sharing Agreement (CSA)

*Market Controls Project

SG are introducing Agile methodology and a candidate with experience in this would be a preferred candidate.

Main Responsibilities

*Business requirements capture (and relationship development)

*Production of requirements specifications and ensuring that these are translated into high quality technical solutions by the ITEC/CTT/GEF development team

*Liaison with BAs and developers from external system teams to ensure the accurate specification and implementation of technical interface requirements

*Involvement in the testing process to ensure that solutions satisfy specified requirements

*Investigation and analysis/resolution of production issues (those which cannot be directly resolved by the support team)

*Estimation and planning in relation to the requirements specified

*Helping to ensure timely delivery of high quality end product to the business

*Management and tracking of changes - also dependency management where there are overlaps in requirements

The Business Analyst will be working as a member of the BA Team within ITEC/CTT/GEF with specific focus on the analysis tasks relating to the projects portfolio. They will be expected to be able to work either in isolation (on individual projects / tasks) or as an integral member of a larger project team (potentially including multiple analysts).
