Business Analyst FX Operations recruitment
Position Summary
Our client, a major European Investment Bank in New York, is in immediate need of a Business Analyst to join their FX Operations Projects Team.
The role is situated within the FX Operations Projects Team. The successful applicant will be required to provide business analysis and project management for the transaction record keeping and reporting requirements resulting from global regulation. They will report to the Regulatory Operations Lead.
Main Duties
- Business Analysis and Requirements gathering
- Managing projects through IT development and reporting on progress
- Produce ongoing documentation for communication both to the Executive level and also across FX Operations
- Planning and documenting test scripts
- Planning and co-ordinating execution of testing
- Overseeing project go-lives
- Project Closing – ensuring that lessons learned are re-used
- Partnering with IT to ensure the maximum level of process improvements are delivered successfully
- Assisting with communications outside the FX Operations Projects Team
Qualification Education
- Degree level education with appropriate subsequent level of work experience or direct entry with equivalent level of work experience.
- Preferred: Relevant qualifications in Six Sigma / Prince 2 beneficial or any other proven Project Management discipline.
Required Experience
- Experience with FX Cash or Derivative products.
- Proven process analysis and projects experience.
- Proven experience of managing business process change.
- Expert use of MS Office / Web Design
Preferred Experience
- Experience at working within an Operations group.
- Project / programme management experience.
- Experience in challenging current process drive change.
Required Skills
- Business Analyst Project Management skills.
- Ability to produce assorted documentation for Executive communication and for education across FX Operations
- Ability to produce detailed business requirements documentation for IT implementation.
- Understanding of Derivative and/or Cash products.
- Strong communication skills both verbal written.
- Ability to confidently represent Operations and the project team across the multiple Working Group forums.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to assimilate information quickly.
- Pro-active approach to problem solving, process improvement and project work.
- Ability to partner develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders from various areas of Operations more broadly across the Bank.
