Business Analyst | Murex 3.1 Electricity Trading | >$1100 day recruitment
Leading CBD based big 4 bank is seeking a contractor business systems analyst with electricity trading experience to work on a project until end of 2012, potentially longer. It will be based in the Sydney CBD and is offering a generous daily rate and is a stable contract - definitely worth jumping ship for!
The main focus of this role is to provide technical and analytical expertise in the analysis, design and release of project delivery driven business solutions on the Bank's Global Markets Electricity Trading platform, and for the Group's customers including Institutional Banking and Markets with a strong focus on Business system functionality. This role requires the flexibility to develop business solutions on the other trading platforms including Murex.
The Role:
- Contribute to the technical design and implementation of the interfaces required by all applications in the team's portfolio.
- Provide subject matter expertise in system processes, and develop expertise in systems and processes used to support the trading and distribution of National Energy Markets traded products.
- Be able to gather and document business requirements, and design and develop solutions within an agreed timeframe, adhering to the Banks Solution Delivery Life Cycle process and documentation framework.
Requirements:
- Significant exposure to financial markets environments and products (Interest Rate Derivatives, Commodities, Options, Equities, FX Options and Electricity).
- Detailed understanding of trade modelling, straight through processing, electricity pricing curves, general system configuration
- Risk Management understanding and Risk Views configuration
- Significant experience, and successful track record, in providing business analysis skill to large projects - or multiple projects concurrently in a Financial Markets or similar environment.
- Experience with Murex 2.1 or 3.1
