Overview of IPP

Schroders are embarking on a large programme of change to upgrade our global portfolio management and data platforms and implement scalable enterprise solutions for OTC derivatives and Investment Risk. This is collectively being referred to as the Investment Platform Programme, IPP.

 

We are looking for a Business Analyst to work on an OTC derivative project focussing on the OTC Trade Capture workstream.

 

Key duties

 

The role will be for the

-     Documentation of current state OTC trade process capture and supporting processes (instrument creation etc..)

-     Producing business requirements and functional requirement documentation

-     Investigate and test interfacing options with both the corporate compliance system, the back office system and the corporate security master

-     Define and prototype potential solutions

-     Define target operating model are ensure they are clear, usable, agreed with the business and successfully implemented

-     Oversee the development, test and implementation of the solution

Essential Skills

 

Understanding of the Asset Management industry especially OTC trade flow lifecycle

Understand CDS, IRS, TRS and Repo’s instruments

Experience in a business analysis role essential specifically on the production of requirements and functional design documentation and working as part of a small agile team.

Confident in end user interaction, especially OTC traders

Experience of running prototyping workshops.

Experienced of producing target operating models with direct interaction with business users and IT and ensuring their successful adoption.

Logical, structured thought processes

Strong communication skills - written, pictorial, presentational and verbal at all levels within the organisation

 

Desirable Skills

 

Contribute to the BA community and the development and deployment of analysis best practice, tools and methods

Managing offshore development resources
