Business Analyst Physical Commodities recruitment
Job Description
The successful candidate will perform a business analyst role and will be responsible for gathering requirements, writing functional specifications and user acceptance test cases within the Commodities business. The candidate will be primarily involved in building out a Physical Commodities system working with Middle Office, Operations and Technology staff but also with other support functions and the Front Office. The initial focus of the project will be Precious Metals.
Key Roles Responsibilities
Work closely with Middle Office, Operations and Technology and other front to back stakeholders to understand change needs and relative prioritisation
Assist the team members with business case preparation
Gather and document both business and functional requirements
Write-up of functional specifications and user acceptance test cases
Partner with Technology to provide viable solutions to the requirements
Take an active role supporting team members in the documentation of detailed test plans and scenarios whilst maintaining a clear link back to the business and functional requirements
Help to draw up and agree implementation plans
Help provide transparency on project progress, key risks, issues and dependencies
Escalate risks and issues to senior management when appropriate
Produce a high standard of documentation that is clear, concise and accurate
Qualifications Skills
Have strong Commodities product knowledge of physical precious metals
Knowledge of and experience with other Commodities products such as Base Metals, Energy, Oil and Coal is a plus
Have 2 years minimum business analysis experience, relating to either process re-engineering or Technology implementations
Have strong analytical skills and be a creative thinker
Ability to communicate effectively and with colleagues from different backgrounds and in other locations
Able to work independently and within a team, as and when required
