Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Application Development, the Business Analyst will focus on forthcoming highly complex projects. In addition the candidate will need to be a leader to more junior business analysts in the Exchange.
Key Accountabilities
- Analyse business processes, workflow, operation processes and perform gap analysis and understand underlying business needs with focus on treasury management, cash management and collateral management.
- Evaluate information from various departments, reconcile conflicts and perform business analysis in order to identify underlying business requirements, design clearing processes and produce specifications.
- Translate business requirements to functional requirements and communicate to development team / vendor / service provider.
- Develop functional specifications, use cases and workflows for complex projects.
- Lead in the development of testing plan and testing cases, user guides, training plan, and training material. Support test execution and document test results.
- Identify, report and track issues identified during the project lifecycle.
- Assist project managers in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.
- Communicate at all levels and apply project standards
Job Requirements
- Degree in accounting, science or financial discipline with minimum of 5 years business analysis experience in financial institutions.
- Work experience in area of cash management, collateral management and treasury management business analysis in any financial services industry or consulting firms is essential.
- Good experience and understanding on product development and operations in area of cash management, collateral management and treasury management.
- Quickly understand business initiatives, ideas and issues from management and users and present (written and verbal) in a logical manner.
- Management consulting experience is a strong plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with executives, managers, users and subject matter experts.
- Can provide leadership and serves as a role model for more junior staff.
