This organisation is a leading global investment who have a new opening for a Reference Data Business Analyst on a permanent basis at their head office in central London. They are a market leader who prides themselves on internal investment, development and opportunity.
You will be working across the Investment Bank and be based within the Global Banking Markets division; taking one of the lead positions in driving forward the Business Analysis function providing best practice points of view for data management practices. One of the key programmes you will be involved in is building systems from various asset classes on to the original reference data platform that's already in place.
You will act as the Subject Matter Expert and lead the design, user interface, and requirements of projects working closely with the various teams across the investment bank. Other key duties include performing data collection and data modeling.
Within this role you will sit in-between the business IT so need to hold a strong understanding of processes on both sides.
Key skill requirements:
*Experience working in data management projects
*Experience of working alongside front, middle and back office investment banking functions
*Experience of working with instrument reference data in a Corporate banking environment
*Product knowledge across a wide selection of products preferred, with focus on FI/Equity
*Demonstrated strength in requirements analysis and experience with large-scale systems development.
*Demonstrated strength in data management.
*Functional knowledge of system and technology alternatives.
*Guiding and supervising the design, user interface, and requirements of projects working closely with the client's business and management teams.
*Proven track record in business analysis techniques such as MoSCoW, SWOT, CBA
*Proven track record in Requirements Analysis Systems design, Logical Data Modelling
*Proven track record in Data Mining/Data Loading/reconciling instrument related data (e.g. trades, pricing, instrument reference data)
*Experience of typical investment banking/management technology and systems
