Business Analyst – Reg Risk (Change) recruitment
AGS on behalf of RBS represents contract and temporary opportunities for RBS MIB (Markets and International Banking). We have an outstanding 6 month contract opportunity for a Reg Risk Business Analyst to make their mark with one of the world's largest international banking and financial services companies. In the role of a Reg Risk Business Analyst , you will play an integral role in helping our client deliver market leading services that set it apart from its competitors.
The MIB Regulatory Risk Business Analyst will function as part of Regulatory Risk Change Team and will work across the Conflicts Re-engineering programme. The individual sought for the position will have extensive experience working in a change/project environment, with a focus on compliance control room activity. A demonstrable track record of successful project delivery is essential as is the ability to hit the ground running with this critical programme.
Job responsibilities
- Business analysis (draft process flows, requirements gathering, drafting specifications, data analysis, test design/execution) using structured methods (eg BPMN, UML, Six Sigma)
- Capture and document business requirements to satisfy both the business users and the technical users ensuring that sufficient detail, diagrams, and worked examples
- Handle multiple concurrent activities in parallel and prioritise responsibilities for delivering quick wins where possible
- Work closely with on/off shore technology development teams (agile) to ensure efficient delivery of technical solutions
- Participate in the execution and validation of system data analysis and write use cases, assist business users in UAT
- Liaise with relevant project stakeholders within the Compliance business function and other technology teams
Required Skills
- Highly motivated individual with a proven background in Business Analysis
- End to end project life cycle experience of systems development and implementation projects
- Extensive experience of requirements gathering and writing of functional specification documentation
- Experience with preparing Workflow/Process flows diagrams for the end to end requirements.
- Ability to analyse data from upstream systems for mapping correctness and completeness.
- Ability to communicate and build relationships with members of the business and technology communities.
Business experience
- Experience of Investment Banking Compliance (preferably Control Room)
- Implementation of workflow(task management) system implementation
- Deal Life Cycle Process with a broad knowledge of securities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly in documenting requirements and specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to deal with multiple tasks simultaneously and with changing priorities.
- Represent team with proper diplomacy to business and technical staff at many levels of the organization.
- Ability to communicate and elicit requirements from a stakeholder group globally
Technical Skills
- Advanced Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio, SQL skills, BPMN, UML
- Fundamental experience of Agile Methodology
- Preferable Data modelling,
