Department Overview
This role is part of UK Corporate Operations. With a global footprint, we provide dedicated support to our clients and coverage colleagues through our strategic middle and back office capabilities. UK Corporate Operations is divided in to 6 key specialisms; Client Servicing, Middle Office Lending Operations, Sales Trade Finance Operations, Operational Change Management, Internal Control Global Payments.
This role sits within our Global Payments division. Global Payments provide payment processing services across the breadth of the Barclays franchise. Every day we serve more than 100,000 clients and process more than 7million payments with a value in excess of £476 billion.
Main Function Of The Job
Support delivery of projects and absorption work. Conduct analysis on current processes within Sanctions Operations, identify opportunities for improvement and develop recommendations/remedial actions.
Main Duties Responsibilities
- Responsible for designing and developing presentation packs from the outcome of strategy sessions and integration initiatives and documenting the information in a crystallised manner.
- Responsible for creating, maintaining and delivering Sanctions related procedures/service schedules.
- Ensure the delivery and presentation of any such documentation mentioned above is prepared for the targeted audience to the appropriate level.
- Help deliver any projects, initiatives, integration and change activity to time, budget and working effectively with all relevant stakeholders and upwards management reporting.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve quality and error rates when delivering integration/change/other projects.
- Sign off/create all relevant project/change/integration documentation and brief line manager operations and impact.
Person Requirements
- Clearly demonstrable project implementation experience and track-record acquired whilst handling a series of parallel initiatives/project streams.
- World class Powerpoint skills
- Delivery capability in an active operations environments
- Industry understanding (banking experience preferred; payments a plus)
- Flexibility availability to travel (UK and abroad).
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
- Client/stakeholder/colleague management
- Financially literate, with strong MI and analytical skills, including complex problem resolution.
