Business Analyst/Change Manager – Risk Data (London) recruitment
A Global Investment Bank requires a Business Analyst to work in the risk management area. The bank has initiated a range of projects to deliver compliance with recent Basel II regulations. As part of this global programme, the risk area has launched an enterprise-wide risk data initiative, with the objective to rationalise and standardise global data sources to provide a unified data layer for risk processing and reporting.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Definition of global business requirements, data sourcing analysis and quality assurance and testing of resulting solutions across London, US APAC.
- Management of key relationships with stakeholders, including but not limited to Risk Managers, IT developers, technical analysts, business analysts, front office and the end users.
- Co-operation with other interdependent departments / projects to ensure cohesiveness in risk data requirements and solution delivery.
- Management of related business plans, tasks delivery
Skills/Experience
Experience
- Broad knowledge and experience of Global Markets trade flows (ideally a minimum of 5 years).
- Experience of trade, market and reference data structures and mappings.
- Extensive experience in gathering and documenting business requirements.
- Experience in specifying requirements relating to risk applications, metrics and processes (specifically Market Risk).
- Experience in defining business workflows, tasks and interdependencies.
- Keen grasp of all facets of the banking business in order to communicate risk data definitions, standards and requirements across divisions - this would include the relationship between Front Office, Risk, Finance, IT and other areas that potentially impact risk data.
- Insight into the 'typical' data challenges facing large, complex financial institutions and experience in solving these challenges.
- Experience of managing relationships with senior business managers, business end-users, IT technical analysts developers.
- Experience of user acceptance testing and managing the sign-off process.
- Knowledge of current trends and developments in data governance, data quality and technology.
