Business Analyst/PM – Glasgow recruitment
The Compliance Risk and Governance Technology division is looking for a Business Analyst with some Project Management Experience to join the Compliance Employee Trading IT Team in Glasgow. The ideal candidate will work with the Compliance division to upgrade their existing suite of Compliance applications to newer technologies as well as work on change requests to existing applications to support the ever changing needs of the business.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Analysis and documentation of Compliance requirements
- Data analysis to support Compliance requests
- Working closely with the development team to make sure those requirements are well understood and reflected in the design documentation.
Functional Skills required:
- Creation of Business Requirements and Functional Specification documentation
- Detailed Data and Data Flow analysis
- Facilitation of meetings between IT and Compliance
- Proven experience in/knowledge of all phases of software development with the emphasis on analysis, design, data/object modeling and testing
- Experienced in Microsoft Office suite - including Outlook, Word, Excel, Office, PowerPoint, Project and Visio
Personal Skills required:
- Excellent communication skills are essential and the ideal candidate must be able to switch between technical and business terminology with ease
- Able to produce documentation of a very high quality
- Self-motivated individual and creative thinker who will take ownership of tasks assigned
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high energy, demanding and team-orientated environment
Skills Desired:
- Experience in the financial industry with an understanding of trading
- Development background
- Experience within an OO, Java environment
- Solid RDBMS and SQL knowledge (Sybase and DB2 preferred)
- Experience using Office Server and Sharepoint
