Business Analyst/Product Manager – Fixed Income eTrading / Front Office
Responsibilities:
- Defines, documents and executes product deliverables of high risk, complexity and visibility, actively participating in all phases of the process. Ensures all stakeholders are aware of requirements status and kept up to date of all requirement and delivery changes.
- Gather client feedback and requirements
- Write up requirements and produce appropriate documentation
- Participate in the design and specification of message formats, and user workflow
- Produce Use Case documentation and facilitate QA testing of new functionality
- Leading business reviews of upcoming system releases showing the capabilities, soliciting feedback and articulating the feedback to all stakeholders
- Translates requirements into technical specifications with the ability to see the big picture
- Strong presence with the ability to steer conversations to desirable outcomes aligned to business objectives
- Has responsibility to ensure product requirements are demonstrably fit for purpose.
- Works with multiple teams around the world to coordinate the understanding and delivery of requirements
Required Skills (Must have)
- The right candidate will already be working in the Fixed Income Execution Space and have had experience handling Front Office and client requirements.
- 5+ years experience in Fixed Income Execution and demonstrated experience in translating requirements into technical implementation specifications, use cases, QA and user acceptance testing.
- Specific experience of multiple OTC, exchange and/or IDB connection and execution protocols.
- Specific experience of FIX and XML messaging standards.
- Experience in development life cycle and business process developments is required
- Programming experience in C, Javascript, large financial Real Time Databases, SQL a plus
- Hands on experience working with financial software such as Reuters or Bloomberg is a plus.
Desired Skills (Nice to have in addition to the Required Skills)
- Background in Software Development and/or Fixed Income eTrading (Domain knowledge A MUST)
- Provide technical support to applications in Production and User Acceptance Testing.
- Be able to provide implementation details translating Business requirements into deliverable functionality.
