Business and Commercial Regulatory Compliance
My client, a global banking group, is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Consultant to join their Business and Commercial team in London on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Head of Compliance and Operational Risk, Business and Commercial banking. You will be expected to deliver compliance support to business management and ensure that significant regulatory risks are identified and managed. This is a very high profile role that will be dealing with very sen ior stakeholders within the business and as such will be a very visible position. You will need the gravitas and communication skills to challenge and have credibility with Global Heads within the business.
Responsibilities:
Provide ongoing technical interpretation of regulatory compliance requirements
Help develop and monitor the regulatory compliance risk profile of specific business units
Maintain and conduct a relevant surveillance monitoring programme
Ensure an appropriate regulatory risk training programme
Work with business partners to deliver compliance risk management processes
Understand and constructively challenge on the regulatory compliance risk exposures
Undertake investigations into major control breaches that have a regulatory impact on the business
Skills/Requirements:
Strong experience in a similar role
Thorough understanding of the UK and EU regulatory directives
Experience in managing various projects simultaneously is essential
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
Knowledge of the FSA handbook
Compliance Advisory experience beneficial
