Business and Fund Finance Manager recruitment

Overview:
Following a business restructure this role is the sole report into the Director of Finance and Administration supporting both the Global Real Estate business and Private Wealth Management (PWM) Global Information Services (GIS.) This is an excellent opportunity to get closely involved with all aspects of this business supporting complex offshore commercial property funds.

Cardales acquires and advises on Commercial UK Real Estate on behalf of a fund and for Private Clients interested in acquiring property within the UK. This business represents PWMs interest in UK Commercial Real Estate and provides advice to the Fund Manager Tilney Asset Management International Limited

The Fund has over £600m of assets under management in 53 different properties within over 20 different subsidiaries reporting into the master fund and in addition 3 feeder fund structures providing different investment opportunities for clients into the fund including hedging opportunities.

Interface will arise with all of these parties at a working level requiring good personnel skills, negotiating ability and drive for results to complete projects on time.

Key Responsibilities:
The Business and Fund Finance management role is a multi-faceted role with the primary focus to have oversight over the administrator Northern Trust and the property manager DTZ.

Preparation of fund financial input from the Deutsche Bank Real Estate team and Property advisors.

Production of forecasting models for the fund.

Provision of financial support for the asset management team.

Other business related aspects covering private client or fund management considerations including compliance legal or fund lending.

Duties of the role include:

Systems and control review and improvements.
Assessing and coordinating management of Fund arrears.
Managing/oversight of VAT returns and Tax calculations for the fund.
Review and challenge of the output produced by Northern Trust and DTZ.
Production of quarterly board reports for Deutsche Bank and for the funds.
Production of Property expense, Bad debt and other financial inputs/reports.
Developing and managing forecast models for the purposes of scenario analysis, banking reporting and fund board meetings.
Reviewing the monthly management accounts of 4 funds.
Review of financial statements and entity accounts.
Preparing Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports for the fund manager and challenging documentation submissions from 3rd party providers.
Liaising as required with the administrator, the trustees, the property manager and lenders at the working level.
Undertaking reconciliations as required to support management in ensuring all property related costs are properly incorporated in the fund results.
Identifying and providing proactive analysis to Asset managers, Tamil, the Business and the Fund board.
Proactively assessing 3rd parties and escalating as required.
Involved with the co-ordination of the sales/acquisition process for properties and entities.
Ad-hoc commercial projects both short term and longer term including modelling and presentations.
You will have:

An accounting qualifications with first time passes. (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
A Degree 2:1 or above from a first class institution.
A Post qualification commercial property accounting experience covering management and financial accounting.
Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and IT skills.
Attention to detail, whilst able to understand the wider picture
Analytical ability for data extraction modelling and analysis.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish internal networks and to share best practice with colleagues in the UK / globally.
Demonstrated leadership potential and ability to present to senior management
