SCM Context
The Business Architecture and Strategy (BAS) Team play a key role in planning and prioritising Barclays Corporate Bank global product offering from both a business and a technology perspective. A key role of the team is to develop a road map that ensures programmes and business architectures align with the strategic objectives.
Main function of the job
Develop and maintain a change roadmap
Clearly articulate the overall business strategies and support the interpretation of them into high level business architectures and operational models
Create a strong working relationship with key business stakeholders within the relevant area and manage this relationship
Agree principles for solution with technical team and business stakeholders
Highlight key scope and design risks and issues
Ensure that all business architectures and requirements fit the overall strategy of all stakeholders.
Manage and prioritise Demand pipeline
Maintains knowledge of the developments in the banking and payments industry, by reading relevant literature, attending conferences and seminars, meeting and maintaining contact with other leading industry experts and through playing a major role in appropriate learned, professional and trade bodies,
Complies with architectural standards, quality standards and policies.
Demonstrate excellent working knowledge of the Corporate Banking industry
Stakeholder management
Ensure all system set up is in line with the target operating model.
Person Requirements
Essential
At least 10 + years experience of delivering strategic change within the Financial Services industry
Experience of Strategic Change Management
Experience of developing a maintaining a change roadmap
Experience of the banking and/or financial services sectors, including cash management
Significant experience of working at a global level with Business product managers, ops, technology and finance
Good knowledge of the breadth of services and products offered by a Corporate Bank
Up to date with developments in Cash Management and Payments, emerging technologies and potential for application within the Bank
Experience in delivering large transformational change
Essential
Track record of delivering high-quality deliverables
Wide range of proven analytical ability
Experience on a number of IT and Business Projects (not necessarily gained in a Financial Services environment)
Preferred
Experience of a complex financial services environment
Formal external qualification/accreditation in business analysis disciplines
