Global Payment Utility – Strategic Change
- Be the functional 'expert' on payments business and functional requirements
- To work with current operational teams and business SME's to extract key information to produce the Global Payments (GPU) business requirements
- Support the target operating model (TOM) team in the production of the process elements of the TOM
- Define and deliver the Business requirements for the Global payment Utility
- Be an expert in Business Analysis methodologies and ensure that all BAs adhere to policies and standards
- Define the definition of the approach to gathering the requirements (structure, format, level of detail, tools methodology used)
- Shape and continuously improve BA processes
- QA/ spot-check own and other BA work
- Work within the System Configuration Team whose responsibility will be to define the set up required for the Global Payment Utility.
- Deliver the Functional Requirements Documents and related Functional Solution Documents – based on business requirements
- Support the testing team during functional and UAT testing
- Manage the implementation of project streams into live production.
Key Accountabilities
- Understand the current Barclays Payments operations (As-is) and ensure this is reflected into the 'to-be' process
- Ensures understanding of the Bank and GPU strategy, and priorities within the team
- Establish and own the process for assessing the impact of requirement changes and for managing changes to requirements
- Ensure requirements are working towards common templates, methodologies and standards
- Deliver theGPU business requirements and the maintenance and version control of those requirements within an appropriate repository
- DeliverFunctional Requirement documents and the related Functional Solution Documents.
- Input to the technical designs and the definition of the system configuration for Global Payments Utility.
- Provide support to the implementation strategy of the overall programme based on functional expertise.
- Provide support to the operations delivery work-stream in terms of the training programmes and support during the functional / operational training sessions
- Provide support and input too the overall definition of the functional and UAT test scripts and subsequent execution
- Participate in management team meetings and provide advice regarding key impact of new/changed requirements, as well as overall performance of the E2E process.
- Maintains detailed awareness of, takes fully into account as necessary, and promotes throughout the organisation, any relevant statutory, internal or external regulations, standards and codes of good practice. Contributes to the definition of such regulations, standards and codes.

Person Specification
Essential
- Proven background as a Business Analyst preferably within Payments programmes
- Expertise of structured BA Methodologies and tools – e.g. RUP, UML, Requisite Pro, Calibre
- Up to date with developments in individual area of expertise and will be expected to keep abreast of emerging technologies and potential for application within the Bank.
- Business Analysis as a core competence within payments area (Preferable with specific Fundtech knowledge)
- Process Management
- Training design delivery
- Track record of delivering high-quality deliverables
- Wide range of proven analytical ability
- Experience on a number of IT and Business Projects (not necessarily gained in a Financial Services environment)
- Educated to Degree/MBA level to cope with the intellectual demands of the role
