Business Area Controller PnL Attribution recruitment

Overview:

Global Credit Trading (GCT) at Deutsche Bank is one of the largest players in the Credit Derivatives market, with new franchises or product lines continually being developed and marketed by the front office. We are looking for a candidate with a financial services background with experience of such structured credit products would be preferable for someone who is willing to step up to the challenges such a growth business presents.

The GCT business is currently supported by a number of teams/locations across Global Business Services (GBS) which include desk support, middle office, risk and PL, trade review/control, monthly management reporting and SPV statutory accounts preparation. This role is aligned with both the risk and PL function trade review/control in GBS for the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Business.

Key Responsibilities:

The main focus of the role centres on assisting with the migration of the daily PL onto DB strategic platform. This will involve working as part of a project team to ensure the CRE business has smooth transition from their current PL platform onto DB's strategic systems.

Your role will focus on the reporting requirements around Commercial Real Estate business which has recently transferred into GBS, but will also cover European Mortgage Origination and Asset Backed Commercial Paper (ABCP) conduits.

There are various daily and month end tasks which need to be satisfied and these include reviewing reserving calculations and ensuring that these comply with global policies, Independent Price Verification results review, PL completion, balance sheet reviews and monthly IFRS disclosure submissions.The area is going through various additional IT development initiatives and there will be involvement in those projects to improve and develop the controls which are already in place.

The role involves working closely with the Front Office, Financial Control, Global Valuations Group, Finance and Market Risk Management

You will have:

*A degree coupled with a professional accounting qualification (ACA or equivalent preferred).
*Relevant experience in Audit or Investment Banking.
*Good working knowledge of the front to back system architecture within an investment bank preferable.
*Strong spreadsheet skills.
*Strong attention to detail and controls focus.
*A good approach problem solving
