BUSINESS CONSULTANT – FRONT OFFICE APPLICATIONS recruitment
Responsibilities:
Production Support:
• ensure that all processes and applications continue to meet the day-to-day operation and support requirements of the Desks
• proactively identify issues and opportunities to promote system solutions improvements to production support models
• maintaining focus as priorities change, keeping business needs and importance in perspective as it relates to overall strategic goals and communicating these changes to business lines in an understandable, justified and acceptable means
System Solutions:
• identify system solutions and alternatives to business and application problems, outlining their relative merits, cost, compatibility, to ensure make informed recommendations
• establish relationships with all work area leaders in order to determine optimal solutions for complex business needs
• ensure stakeholders have a common understanding of project deliverables and parameters (e.g. Time, cost, quality, and benefits)
• build and maintain external vendor relationships to keep abreast of changing practices in the financial sector and ability to bring together research of options available to assist business partners in making informed decisions regarding specific business needs
Requirements:
• university degree in Financial or Investment related fields with additional Investment Industry certifications
• minimum five years’ direct experience with Front Office Trading Applications and Trade Desk Technologies such as Front Office (Order Management, Modelling, Risk Management, Research Platforms); Middle Office (Compliance and Performance Measurement and Attribution); and Back Office (Securities Operations and Accounting)
• key application experience (must have): Bloomberg AIMS / POMS
• key application experience (nice to have): FactSet, Barclay’s POINT, SharePoint, other Front Office Analytics systems / tools
• good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, other Asia languages would be an asset
