About the Job
We are looking to identify a skilled and experienced Business Consultant or Business Analyst with good technical grounding to work for one of our clients who are a fast growing and dynamic European banking software and services company. They have a unique and exciting opportunity for an additional consultancy resource as a result of business growth to bring software implementation consultancy expertise in the area of UK securities processing and settlements for banks. The role is a permanent role and will see you work with Tier 1, 2 and 3 Private Banks in the UK on some complex business and technology change programmes. Our client is looking to identify someone with a solid and impressive academic and professional track record with good grounding in technology i.e. software and business systems but with solid functional area expertise of back office securities processing and settlements in the trade, banking financial services space. The successful candidate will be able to put their hand to technical, functional and business tasks, work with technical resources onsite as well as offshore and have a good understanding of software design, configuration and development. As the specialist on securities processing modules, you will be providing consulting services to external clients on new systems implementations, enhancements and new functionalities as well as upgrades or even some support consulting work. Your role will involve analysing and understanding the customer's back office and settlement processes, supporting the bank in the requirements engineering phase, configuring the system to cope with the specified requirements and integrating the system within the Bank's application landscape. After general training on the system, you will get in-depth knowledge about the back office securities and settlements framework by working with some of our client's senior specialists who will coach you on one of their reference projects. The candidates will have the following; University or college degree in finance, business administration or computer science; A minimum of 5 years of working experience in UK financial services, either within a financial institution or within a finance software provider; A minimum of 3 years of working experience in the area of securities back office and settlement and knowledge of the relevant processes and interfaces, additional knowledge about securities trading is an advantage; Excellent analytical skills; Strong communication and presentation skills; Fluent in English, other languages are an advantage (in particular German or French); Must be willing to work and travel nationally and internationally
