Business Continuity Manager recruitment
Take responsibility for the controls monitoring portfolio of work impacting Global Markets Operations Technology (GMOT).
Responsibilities
- Work within a global team to ensure GMOT-impacting risk initiatives are met to the required standards and within the defined timeframes.
- Close co-ordination with the Global Markets Operations Technology application managers, development managers and support teams locally and globally. Additionally working with the Global Markets Research Technology central Controls Monitoring organisation and both internal and external auditors.
- Liaise with Global Markets Operations Middle Office line of business to ensure we proactively identify technology control weaknesses and work with application teams to address these identified weaknesses.
- Accountable for ensuring all risk-related enterprise standards are met by the application teams.
- Work with application and support teams to ensure risk-related projects are managed to completion within designated timescales.
- Prepare, understand and summarise complex technical requirements, with an ability to highlight potential areas of concern, risk or change to senior managers in multiple locations.
- Technical understanding of application development practices and technologies.
- Project Management Governance: Consolidated reporting communications to key business technology stakeholders on status, key risks issues, and decisions/actions to be taken.
- Risk Framework : Ensuring that artefacts, processes and best practices within the organisation’s Risk Framework are followed maintained.
Requirements
- Technical background either in infrastructure or application development.
- Experience of the line management experience of global teams.
- Self starter with ability to work to short deadlines across multiple time zones.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience of operational risk policies and procedures.
- Experience of managing and mitigating technology risk.
- Experience of operating on a global scale, across time zones.
- Experience of project management skills including requirements gathering, planning, reporting, prioritisation, issue and risk management.
- Well versed with dealing with business users technologists up to a senior management level.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in an organised manner, whilst ensuring quality timeliness of the delivered results.
