Business Controller, Amsterdam
Our client, a leading international company is seeking a Business Controller in the Amsterdam Region to join their team.
As Business Controller you will a key player in the company's strategy in multiple international projects. You will also report to the CFO and take the initiative in strengthening the company's project strategy (your opinion will influence from the bidding process to achieving financial performance of projects)
As Business Controller, your responsibilities include:
-Plan long-term Financial Strategy for company projects
-Advisory to management team on most project aspects (this includes sales and outsourcing projects)
-Financial Analysis, monthly, quarterly and on-demand reporting
-Forecasting project Performance
-discussion and advisory on how to improve any financial performance within the project, including strategic remarks and immediate actions necessary
-develop and establish financial controls and processes as well as efficient analytical tools for the project
-establish and relationship-building strategies with clients/customers
-be involved in contract maximization strategies
The successful Business Controller must be a team player meet the following:
-Have experience in the telecom industry at an international telecom company, mobile telephone company or networks or IT experience
-Have international exposure and experience dealing with international projects
-Qualified Accountant, registered accountant or Certified Public accountant a plus but not a must
-Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related area; Master's degree preferred but not a must
-A minimum of 6 years experience as a business controller in a telecom company, mobile telephone company, network or IT experience
-You must have previous experience in Reporting, budgeting, forecasting, controlling OR general finance accounting experience (such as audit, accounting and tax in combination with controlling experience in this industry
-IFRS or GAAP experience
-Great leadership and communication skills at all levels and cultures
-Self starter and ability to lead in tough environments
-Business savvy and able to travel internationally
