Business Data Manager
· Manages teams, systems and processes to guarantee data accuracy and integrity
· Manages the department procedures and guarantees their accuracy and their observance
· Participates in the definition and implementation of a global strategic view for Business Data
· Collaborates with the other BD Managers from Europe and Asia to optimize a “follow the sun” Business Data service
· Participates in the definition, implementation and monitoring of key performance indicators for the Business Data Department
· Maintains program of continuous improvement for Business Data
· Manages data projects and data component of firmwide projects and programmes
· Develops and maximises automation and process improvement opportunities
· Participates to the overflow of day-to-day operations tasks
· Creates business partnerships with Sales, Operations and support functions
· Establishes a beneficial working relationship with business managers in order to maintain awareness of business direction and management goals
SUPERVISION RESPONSIBILITIES
· The role holder ‘s primary function is Business Data team manager
· Direct manager of section supervisors/data project leader
· Manages the team performance by establishing relevant objectives and work atmosphere to achieve efficiency, data integrity, high quality process and productive working relations with internal clients
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
· Experienced data manager and team manager (not negotiable)
· 2+ yrs experience with GMI, Sungard’s Listed Derivatives Back-Office application (preferred)
· 2 + yrs experience in other Listed Derivatives and OTC, Middle and Back-Office applications (Kondor, Murex, Ubix, GPS) (preferred)
· Understanding of exchange commissions and fees,brokerage charges and billing (preferred)
· Understanding of project management methodology, including business case, delivery, status reporting, issue log maintenance, stakeholder engagement
· Excellent attention to detail
· Strong managerial and organizational skills
· Strong written and verbal communication abilities, excellent Microsoft office skills
· Experience in data analysis tools (Data queries, Excel Pivot)
· Good understanding of financial markets, trading and clearing of derivatives (Futures Options) and OTC products, clearing and execution fees and billing
· Ten years+ industry experience
· Two years+ team management experience

POSITION WITHIN HIERARCHY:
Reports to the Head of Business Data (globally), and matrix reporting line to Head of Revenue Services (regionally), within Revenue Services Department.
LEVEL OF AUTONOMY:
Significant. Responsible for staffing decisions made within Static Data. Participates in the definition and implementation of a global strategic approach for Business Data
