Business Development Associate (BDA) | Funds Management
Our Client, a household name in Investment Research / Funds Management, is seeking to expand their NSW based Sales team. This team is responsible for all new business across managed funds, consulting and research product lines.
Reporting directly into the Head of Sales, this position plays a vital role within the team and broader business and as such, they require a highly organised and dedicated Business Development Associate (BDA) to provide superior support to the BDM’s for their respective national and state based sales activities, as well as build relationships with Clients in order to achieve optimal market penetration.
The main responsibilities will include
- Provide support to BDMs (diary coordination, travel arrangements, etc)
- Assisting in the management of key accounts and relationships
- Assisting with the coordination of lead management to ensure accurate sales pipeline reporting
- Creation and distribution of reporting to sales teams and leaders nationally
- Analysis of client data to support the segment strategy
- Assisting with data analysis of client business through the CRM systemand being the key contact point
- Setup of new clients in the various CRM systems including commission setup
- Manage enquiries via email or phone
- Maintain basic knowledge of products and services available, and keep up to date with industry news
- Provide AML checks and support

To be successful with this opportunity, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics or similar discipline
- 2+ years experience from Financial Services in a similar Business Development Officer / Sales Support function.Alternately you may be a Team Assistant / Executive Assistant within another Fund Manager currently and looking to expand your responsibilities.
- The ability to work autonomously with a strong sense of 'ownership' of your work.
- A demonstrable knowledge of the funds management industry, and a strong technical knowledge of financial products and concepts.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong relationship building skills.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
