Business Development – Credit Ratings
The candidate will be responsible for managing a team with a key focus on generating new corporate rating mandates through consistent and targeted marketing activities to issuers across EMEA. This role offers the opportunity for the candidate to work within an ever-changing and dynamic business environment. From the outset the individual will enjoy a high degree of autonomy and responsibility, with excellent opportunities for self and career development. The role involves some European based travel.
The individual will work closely with the corporate analytical team in London to prioritise and execute on outreach activities. The candidate will have management responsibility for up to ten BRM team members in Fitch’s EMEA offices.
This role requires an on-going evaluation of competitor activity, market information and client feedback, feeding back into issuer marketing strategies. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate at a senior level.
Strong marketing and interpersonal skills are a pre-requisite with a successful track record of developing commercial relationships and opportunities.
Qualifications and experience:
- Evidence of success in developing and implementing medium-scale, multi-country sales/business development strategies.
- Evidence of success in leading and managing an internationally based sales/business development team
- Goal/target-oriented
- Highly developed communication and presentation skills, verbal and written
- A proven track record to persuade and negotiate effectively
- Able to work independently within a strategic framework whilst maintaining high work standards and show excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel and experience of Bloomberg, Reuters and Bondware useful
- University degree, preferably in a business-related discipline
Other professional or business qualification (e.g. Master’s Degree, MBA)
