Our client is the world's leading source of commercial information and insight on businesses, enabling companies to make informed decisions. They are currently looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their team.
As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales of our client's value added products and solutions throughout emerging markets, including Russia, the Middle East and Asia.
Our client's solutions are expected to generate growth at over 30% of annual rates, making this an excellent time to join their team.
Determining sales and marketing tactics, product and service focus for each value added solutions channel, you will develop new business to deliver the targeted results. Working with the European partnerships leadership team, you will also help drive the European business towards their strategic and operational goals.
Your duties will include:
- Ensuring maximum exposure of our client's products and services
- Motivating, training and coaching the sales team
- Using sales tracking to monitor and improve performance
To be considered for this position, you must:
- Have a demonstrable track record of effective business development leadership through motivation and team development within matrix based organisations
- Be well versed in the creation, implementation and management of broad based, strategic and tactical sales plans
- Possess an understanding of business information and business insight products and solutions
- Have a degree
As a Business Development Manager, you must have excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills. The ability to build an atmosphere of trust and nurture excellent working relationships, especially at a senior executive level, is also key.
Although not essential, any sales experience gained within Russia, the Middle East or Asia would be an advantage to your application, as would the ability to speak any of these languages. A higher degree such as an MBA or a professional qualification would also be beneficial.
