- A proven track record in sales (5+ years)
- 3+ years new business sales experience
- Sold related solutions such as Managed Hosting, Colocation, IT managed services, DR/BC, etc.

ROLE INFORMATION- Business Development Manager

- This is a new business sales role working for one of Europe's largest providers of managed hosting, colocation, data centre, and business continuity services. They own their own data centre and network infrastructure which enables them to deliver the complete set of vertical components in the hosting arena; from domain names, virtual web space, security, web marketing, SEO, websites and dedicated servers, through to complex managed hosting solutions, colocation space, power, cooling and bandwidth. This is a great market to be involved with as cloud hosting/computing markets are anticipated to reach $100.4 billion by 2016 and currently sit at around $30 billion.
- You will sell across the Hosting Portfolio which includes Managed Servers/Complex Hosting, Cloud Hosting/Servers, Off the rack Server Virtualisation, Connectivity and Colocation.
- Your role is 100% new business focused, handing over the accounts to account managers once contracts are signed.
- You will be targeting the mid market and deals range massively in value from the tens to the hundreds of thousands in contract value.
- You will target IT Managers/Directors and also up to CIO/CTO level.
- Services are sold on contracts which typically range from 1 to 3 years.
- You'll be targeted on KPI's, Pipeline Growth, Opportunity management and closed business against a target of £400k to £500k in year contract value.
- You will be supported by a Business Analyst and Technical Solutions Architect to help with bids.
- They use Salesforce.com to manage all opportunities.
