Founded in 2006, Chemique Inc. is a subsidiary of Chemique Adhesives and Sealants Ltd in the UK.  The UK business was founded in 1985 and is a manufacturer of speciality adhesives for the industrial and construction markets.

 

Following a number of years of success selling in to the US market, it was decided to form Chemique Inc. in 2006, with the first office and warehouse facility being opened in Atlanta, GA.  The company moved to newer and larger premises in Kennesaw GA in 2010.

 

Currently operating in the US with a sales support administration and direct sales team, the objective of the business is to build the company to a desired level to invest in a manufacturing facility in the US.

 

The business currently promotes and sells a small cross section of the Chemique Group Brands and is looking to expand and introduce more of these in the next twelve months.

 

 

The Role

 

To aid business growth and give a greater focus on a region of the US that has been highlighted for growth potential, the company are now looking to appoint a Business Development Manager for the Mid West USA. 

 

The main focus of the role will be direct B2B selling into industrial and construction markets, to maximise the sales potential of the Chemique brands.  Therefore an individual is required that can demonstrate a record in developing a market territory with a high new business conversion ratio.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

·         Management and development of sales in to the defined Mid West territory.

·         As required, some sales calls/development may be needed to be followed up in other areas of the US and Canada.

·         Contact and liaison with UK support functions, such as technical development and manufacturing.  This will be aided by occasional travel to the UK to achieve this.

·         Account management of existing and all new customers in the region to maximise growth and ensure customer retention.

·         Lead generation and door opening of potential customers.

·         Technical advice and support to customers on their adhesive requirements.

·         On site product demonstrations.

·         Updating of CRM system with potential and existing customers. 

·         Monthly reporting to Chemique senior management.

·         Liaison with US operations staff in Kennesaw to ensure delivery  schedules for customer needs.

 

 

Skills and Requirements

 

·         Highly motivated self starter.

·         Willingness to travel as required.

·         Technical sales background in a B2B environment.

·         Ability to generate own leads and comfortable with cold calling approach to open doors.

·         Account management skills.

·         Computer literate.  Training will be given on CRM package currently used, however, previous use of Salesforce package would be desirable.

·         The role will initially require a hands on management style, with the individual prepared to take on a wide range of job requirements.

·         Though not essential, previous experience of working for a European company would be an advantage.
