My client is a World leading, multi-disciplined company with a very strong Facilities Management business with a very strong background and highly stable organisation.

Due to their expansion they are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who can help with future growth of the business. The ideal candidate will have strong hard services experience (ME) with a good knowledge of TFM and have the ability to source and build relationships with potential new clients.

The successful candidate will be a highly skilled and a credible sales person developing Facilities Management solutions to senior management in both the public and private sectors.

The role is mainly focussed on new business and is suited to individuals who can develop relationships quickly and effectively gain cooperation of various teams for project success.
Some of the main responsibilities include;

• Develop and maintain relationships with key service partners
• Responsible for own lead generation and develop business relationships to: generate and negotiate new income to an agreed annual target
• Work closely with the Bid Team and Operations to drive the best possible solutions
• Work closely with Finance/Commercial Director's to fully understand risk and financial implications
• Work closely with marketing team to develop sales pipeline and services collaterals
• You will have individual responsibility for new business; and are expected to self manage, however, you will be apart of a team of Business Development Managers. Support is available for large and complex strategic solutions
• Responding to PQQs and ITTs in a timely manner
• Develop internal relationships with internal stakeholders: Divisional Directors, Account Directors, Bid Team and Commercial Directors.
• Work within representative groups to develop bespoke and innovative solutions for clients
• Actively and successfully manage the sales process: lead generation; credentials; unique solutions; negotiations.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:
• Proven sales success and confidence in your abilities to demonstrate your knowledge of the sales process
• Confident negotiator and ability to promote yourself
• Strong client relationship building skills and ability to keep promises
• Capable hands-on problem solving, with ability to generate ideas and solutions
• A positive and determined approach to new business opportunities
• Possess drive, initiative, motivation and acute attention to detail
• Ability to cope with competing demands and prioritise tasks
• Strong communications skills in all forms including written, oral, telephone and presentation
• A positive attitude to dealing with people
• A strong understanding of Sustainability agendas, Health Safety and Risk profiles would be distinct advantage
