BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

 

Orion Marine Group, Inc., a leader in the marine construction industry, has an immediate opening for a Business Development Manager in New Orleans, Louisiana.  This position is responsible for creating and maintaining client relationships and identifying new marine projects for the Orion Marine Group organization.  These projects include marine construction, dredging, diving and related services in the Gulf Coast, Atlantic Seaboard and Mid-West regions of the United States.  The position will report directly to the VP Business Development and work closely with other key members of operations and management staff.     

 

Responsibilities:

 

·        Works closely with the VP Business Development to develop marketing and sales strategies that will help the Company achieve its short and long range business objectives.

 

·        Develops new clients using prospective client and customer lists, prospect new clients, via telephone and email, set appointments and meetings with prospects, present services that can be rendered.

 

·        Performs outside sales activities meeting with potential clients and customers and directly marketing the services the Company can provide.

 

·        Creates and facilitates professional presentations of the Company’s key services for use at client and customer visits.

 

·        Travels on a regular basis to client and customer locations along the Gulf Coast, Atlantic Seaboard, and Mid-West regions in development of business prospects.

 

·        Establishes and maintains on-going client relationships with customers and clients to investigate new business and project opportunities as they arise.

 

·        Serves as a primary liaison with new clients in bid proposals, pre-qualification submittals, and contract negotiations.

 

·        Collaborates with appropriate corporate management to discuss bid proposal details including project feasibility, cost estimates, timeframes, deadlines, project performance, etc.
