The Business Finance organization plays a critical role as trusted business partner to the business units, supporting all analysis, reporting and planning needs of the business. We produce budgets, short and long range forecasts; create and analyze business metrics and identify cost savings opportunities; deliver economic insight into the relationships between costs and revenues to improve the financial success of the business going forward.
Due to a reorganization, the Business finance team is looking for a Director to lead the business finance team providing support to Global marketing and Communications, Corporate Groups, and Corporate Services. The role reports directly to the Business Finance Head of Corporate and Business Operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead all Financial Planning and Analysis activities for the Global Marketing and Communications, Corporate Groups, and Corporate Services organizations to include:
- Lead processes for monthly forecasting, reporting, variance analysis, etc.
- Lead the annual planning process. Be a thought partner for the business to analyze investment in strategic initiatives.
- Actively manage the budget based on changing market conditions.
- Create a cohesive story around results and present data in a simple and clear manner. Communicate results to senior management.
- Support the GMC leadership team in being able to understand the effectiveness of the brand campaign, channel marketing activity and campaigns and general marketing spend. This is to include the development and use of appropriate metrics.
- Continuously look for ways to enhance reporting with forward-looking and insightful information.
- Look for cost opportunities through business alignment, vendor management and other approaches to extract greater value from the marketing spend.
- Participate in and/or lead team-wide projects including financial modeling, ad hoc analysis, business economics etc.
- Drive improved process and content around financial processes, including month end processes, reporting and analysis.
- Manage direct team of 4 - 6 direct reports to include career development. Provide guidance to and liaise with the broader "indirect" team to meet the business finance requirements.
- Review the current organization structure (direct and indirect support) and seek ways to improve the information, content and efficiency through coordination and team structure.
