About the role
The Finance Solutions business of Macquarie Leasing seeks to provide excellence in contributing to the vision, objectives and goals of the business. The team provides:
- Financial oversight of new business products and initiatives;
- Management reports which allow informed and accurate business decisions to be made;
- Working with internal and external parties covering Funding; Cost of Funds; Regulatory requirements; Management requirements and Group requirements;
- Expertise in business specific matters such as tax, projects, cost benefit analysis.
The Finance Solutions team is being expanded into Financial Projects and Financial Operations. The Financial Projects team will be involved in business development activities and the instigation of new/changed methodologies and processes whilst the Financial Operations team will be responsible for the efficient functioning of Finance Solutions which includes a strong focus on relationship development/management with a number of internal and external counterparties.
Initially you will lead the Financial Operations team but possess potential to operate across the Financial Projects team as well. As the leader of this team you will be responsible building strong business relationships across Macquarie Leasing and supporting the business in its strategic decision making through the provision of key management reports and analysis. Your responsibilities will include:
Macquarie Leasing' management accounts including monthly management reports, preparation of budgets and re forecasts and the management of Macquarie Leasing introducer profitability.Business performance reporting including providing the various teams within Macquarie Leasing of detailed analysis of their business performance to key indicators.Shared responsibility for a team of 10
About you
You will be an experienced, commercially minded professional, with a background in financial management and operational leadership with the ability to think strategically and innovatively.
You will have a proven track record of leading a team ensuring operational excellence whilst possessing the ability to think strategically about the direction of the business without getting caught up in the detail. You will also have:y
- Strong numeracy, with preferably a degree in Accounting, Finance or Engineering being strongly preferred.
- Prior experience gained in reporting/analysis, operational business management
- The ability to build strong working relationships and partnerships with other functional managers and influence key stakeholders across the business
- The ability to think strategically, laterally and creatively
- Analytical, process and problem solving skills
