Our client, conveniently located in Edinburgh, SA provides a range of services to the Australian Defence Force and throughout the Pacific region has reduced ongoing maintenance costs and improved service standards, while meeting safety, quality and environmental objectives. Their key activities include the management, scheduling and execution of major upgrades to marine assets, the asset management of land based equipment and the provision of Garrison Support Services to Defence installations throughout Australia.
Due to the recent successful contract bid by our client, we, Chandler Macleod are looking for an experienced lean practitioner to join this world leading organisation.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Liaise with stakeholders in order to validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems.
• Understand business issues and opportunities and be responsible for recommending business solutions that enable the business to achieve its goals.
• Reporting and trend analysis on change initiatives and projects to management and the Executive.
• Technical compliance of our services, ensuring that the related outcomes are in accordance with standards, codes and system requirements defined by the Client and Statutory Authorities
• Maintaining relationships with other members of the industry management team, Client representatives and Statutory Authorities, to ensure effective communication of improvement
• Accountable for developing, advocating, and maintaining standard change processes and Project Management methodology across the industry.
• Analyse and assess the impact of business change requests from outside the industry.
• Maintenance of the Industry Business Improvement Plan.
Technical Competencies:
• Tertiary qualifications in Business management or technology related discipline
• Business analysis experience including experience with business process re-engineering and improvement techniques (eg TQM, Six Sigma, Lean)
• Project management experience
• Experience in solution design, integration and implementation
• Advanced PC skills (Visio, Word, Excel, Project)
• Proven ability to document business requirements and functional specifications
To be successful for this role you must be an Australian citizen, be able to pass a national police clearance and pre-employment medical.
