Business Intelligence Accountant / Management Accountant

We're looking for a finance professional with strong commercial focus coupled with an analytical skill set and it would be highly advantageous to have a background in technology.

Business Services Group Centre Finance is responsible for influencing decisions through the provision of commercial and financial expertise and ensuring compliance with the group governance framework.  The Finance team provides analytical support, pan Business Services (BS) to the BS Executive in respect of financial and management information and reporting, divisional financial management and developing and appraising prospective information such as budgets, forecasts and investment appraisals.

Business Services is the backbone of the Group, providing a diverse range of high quality services to the customer-facing operations within the Group. Business Services includes; Technology Services, Group Operations, Group Property, Corporate Security Services (Security and Fraud), Business Services Finance, Business Services Human Resources, Business Services Risk, Strategy and Architecture, and Procurement.

As a Business Intelligence Accountant / Management Accountant, you'll support the Business Partner in the management of a functional cost base and undertake supportive and structured MI activity. Providing insightful MI to the functional Business Partner, you will define, execute and support the presentation of actionable insight to business stakeholders. You'll identify opportunities for cost efficiencies through the production and analysis of structured MI, whilst supporting activity that reviews end to end profitability and value creation for the Group. And you will support the delivery of allocations to income divisions and the translation of the business services cost base into ‘services’ consumed by divisions.

For this Business Intelligence Accountant / Management Accountant role, we need a finance professional, preferably a qualified accountant or MBA equivalent, with previous experience in a business analytical environment. You'd have an appetite for detail and delivery orientation as well as strong commercial awareness and business acumen. Naturally, an ability to communicate complex financial information in a concise, non-technical manner is important. Because you'll be working with customers, business partners and senior business intelligence managers, you'll need to demonstrate excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills.
