Business Intelligence & Data Analyst
Code Red Associates (CRA) is a leading supplier of Permanent Contract ICT resource to a variety of Blue Chip, SME growing organisations throughout the UK. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Intelligence Data Analyst for a large, specialist, growing organisation based in the South West.
The purpose of the role will be to identify areas for data quality improvement and to help restore data quality problems within the data warehouse through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control, improvement or process design strategies. You will also measure and report to line managers on the progress of data quality improvements and participate in data quality audits. You will also be responsible for developing delivering business intelligence reports and dashboards to stakeholders and line managers within the business.
Accordingly, the successful applicant will be an effective communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels whilst also influencing project enthusiasm. You will have a track record in Business Intelligence Data Analysis with particular skills in writing reports and analysing data in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), developing dashboards, extracting data from SQL Server data warehouses, manipulating data with SQL scripting queries and experience in successfully engaging people in data quality projects. Ideally, you will have further experience in defining and mapping business processes, workflow concepts and data flows, whilst being involved in business process reengineering using business analysis techniques and producing documentation accordingly. Technically you will have the ability to build SQL OLAP cubes display them via dashboards, identify sets (and subsets) of data across multiple joins/unions of tables, have experience of SQL scripting to interrogate data sets and have experience with Excel spread sheets. Candidates with experience of Tableau would be of distinct interest.
