IMC Technician II               Full-Time

 

Location              Fernandina Beach, Florida

 

Job Responsibilities…. This position requires a minimum of five (5) years of substation maintenance experience and completion of a substation maintenance Apprenticeship Program or equivalent.  The candidate should possess good interpersonal skills and have good written and oral communications skills.  The ability to use computer applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and to plan and organize activities on a daily basis are beneficial.  The candidate must have the ability to work well with coworkers.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

 

1.     Operation and maintenance of distribution equipment such as reclosers,     substation breakers, regulators, transformers, capacitor banks/switches and outdoor/street lights and the SCADA system

 

2.      Maintain PCB Storage Building and Oil Filled Equipment in accordance with the Company PCB Procedures.  Maintain PCB test records

 

3.      Installation, maintenance, testing and calibration of all company and customer metering equipment and wiring

 

4.      Process all new meters and enter information into the Orcom customer billing system.  Complete all necessary updates to ensure accuracy of meter information in the Orcom customer billing system

 

5.      Investigation of voltage and meter complaints including installation/removal of voltage/amperage recording equipment Must possess calm judgment and be willing to act on it in emergencies

 

6.      Maintenance of Company property

 

7.      Completion of work related forms such as time/transportation reports, stock slips, retirement sheets, etc.

 

8.      Perform Warehouseman functions as required

 

9.      Train with and be capable of performing IMC Technician I (customer metering) functions as required

 

                            10. Safety (Men/Equipment)

                                          A.  Completion of first aid and safety courses as offered

                                          B.  Application of first aid and rescue operations

 

                            11. Customer/Public relations

 

                            12. Special assignments as required
