Corporate Center Technology IT (CC IT) is part of Group Technology at UBS. The organization and is responsible for developing and supporting specific applications across a variety of group wide shared services, leveraging existing platforms across the group.

Business Manager
This is a critical role, interacting with the various COO Management Office streams as well as influencing and helping to managing these efforts for the CC IT Management Committee.
The role reports into the Head of Business Management and helps to support the CC IT COO Office in the oversight and delivery of CCIT strategy, goals and objectives relating to operating the streams across financials, resource management and metrics/executive reporting.
The scope of the role will include:
- Financial reporting and management
- Strategy and governance related to the operations of the stream
- Metrics and executive reporting
The role will also work closely with the other areas in the COO Management Office as it relates to the areas of
- Project, program portfolio management
- Sourcing and workforce planning
- People Agenda / IT Communications Strategy
- Business Management Administration

This role reports to the Head of Business Management and is responsible for ensuring that the day to day business operations are being adequately managed to ensure proper financial control, people management and other operational activities associated with running the stream.

Responsibility includes oversight of the financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting of headcount and cost management, namely:
- Provide financial expertise to the group in relation to operational reporting and ensuring key decision makers are provided with robust financial information to support the decision making process
- Partner closely with CFO team to ensure adherence to monthly forecasting and accruals cycles, preparation of segment template and executive commentary, tracking and investigation of variances
- Develop and maintain business partnering model for Sector head interaction with their core clients
- Develop robust Metrics and reporting platform for the CC IT MC to leverage to deliver on the strategic agenda for the businesses
- Lead Business Manager activities, including maintenance of BM tools, financial and program hierarchies and structures across the organization
- Partnering with Chief of Staff office to ensure smooth running of all core processes – invoice processing and approval, accruals, travel requests and expense processing, new hire requests, contractor extensions, work package and task order administration
- Present financial and headcount analytics to senior management, ensuring that it can be easily assimilated and actioned

Requirements

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:
Excellent communication skills – be able to deal effectively senior stakeholders at a MD level as well as deal effectively with delivery managers across the organization
Ability to work without constant guidance and to “own” their areas of responsibility
Prior experience of IT financial and/or business management arrangements
Project management experience within an IT organisation and the ability to influence decision making by others. Experience of change projects

- Ability to lead and influence virtual teams and rollout and make core strategic recommendations

Experience and Qualifications
- Degree qualified or equivalent
- Professional individual from a financial services, management consulting or IT background
- Experienced in MS Office Suite and Financial Forecasting tools
- Demonstrable exposure to business project work in a technology-intensive environment, preferably in a management position
- Experience of working in an outsourced environment
- Experience of establishing and/or operating Programme Management/Support Offices a strong advantage
